School meals are cooked on site and are provided for pupils if parents wish. Alternatively, your son or daughter may bring a packed lunch. The school kitchen is able to prepare and provide for specialist diets. If your son or daughter requires a special diet please provide a letter from your child’s GP. The cost of school dinners is subsidised by the local education authority and parents will be informed of any change in the cost.
From September 2014 the cost of a school meal is £2.00 per day / £10.00 per week.
The school is able to provide free school meals for pupils whose parents are eligible – an application form and further details are available from the school office. If you have to pay for your child's midday meal, please send the correct amount of money into school at the beginning of each week. Alternatively, it is possible to pay for school meals on a monthly or half termly basis – please contact the school office for information.
We encourage all our pupils to have a healthy and active lifestyle. If your son or daughter would like to bring a snack for a mid-morning break please send fruit or other healthy foods. We discourage children from bringing sweets, crisps, cola, pop or other fizzy drinks.
