Hours per week: 25 hours per week Monday to Friday, 9am - 2pm 

 

Contract Type, Temporary - Term time plus 4 days

 

Applefields School are seeking to recruit a temporary cook to cover staff absence.

 

The core focus of this job is delivering an efficient catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety in a busy school environment.

 

The post holder will do this by carrying out duties such as food preparation and service and other kitchen management duties including supervision of staff, managing special dietary requirements, ordering food, stocktaking and administration. Assisting Support Workers with service delivery which may include setting up dinning furniture, serving meals to pupils and staff, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining hall.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Orchard Satellite Provision based at Manor School

 

Grade 4 Level 1-4 (£18,865 to £20,013 per annum) reduced pro-rata to £14,953 to £15,863

 

Contract: Fixed term until 31st August 2023, Term Time only

 

Applefields School are seeking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work at our Orchard and Satellite Provision based at Manor School.

 

These posts provide general classroom support to students with autism and complex social and emotional needs.

 

The successful candidate will work as a member of the staffing team supporting our students’ access to the curriculum and the development of their literacy, numeracy and personal and social independence skills.

 

The ideal candidate will be:

 

  • Be a child centred professional who has successful experience of working with children with a wide range of special educational need.
  • Be committed to helping our students achieve the very best and become as independent as possible
  • Be able to provide effective support for the development of the students’ communication
  • Be able to develop strong relationships to support the development of the students’ personal and social independence skills
  • Support students with their personal care and welfare needs
  • Be confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviours
  • Be a strong advocate of inclusion
  • Be confident to accept responsibility and work independently, able to demonstrate initiative and have flexible attitude to the challenging demands of working with children and young people with additional and complex needs
  • Be able to work collaboratively
